Visceral Mobilization

Visceral Manipulation (VM) is a technique that focuses on the internal organs (viscera) of the thorax, abdomen, and pelvis and their surrounding fascia. When disease, inflammation or scar tissue cause the fascia surrounding a particular organ to loose it’s mobility, tensional forces on surrounding soft and hard tissue structures can increase causing asymmetries and biomechanical compensations which can lead to pain. By enhancing the natural movement of an organ, the surrounding fascial system is brought into balance as well.
